Cat's Cradle (work in progress)

Take the string in your left hand so that a long line hangs down on either side of the hand. Show everyone that it is a closed circle of string... Stick your right hand into the loop about half-way down. Then move round to the right, round the back line, then to your side of the circle, to the right in front of the front line, and then right again, into the loop, under the left hand. Obviously you’ve tied yourself into terrible knots, but... pull on the string with your left hand and your right hand is free again. (Cat’s Cradles, And Other String Figures by J. Elffers and M.
